Our Story

Growing up around the jeweller's bench, Hannah developed an early appreciation for craftsmanship and the stories held within precious objects. In 2009, after graduating high school, she began working alongside her father, Shane Kyle, who has been crafting jewellery since 1973. Learning traditional goldsmithing techniques through hands-on mentorship and years spent immersed in the workshop from a young age.

In 2013, Hannah established HLSK with a vision to create jewellery that felt both contemporary and timeless. Pieces defined by bold silhouettes, delicate diamond clusters, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Just one year after launching, Hannah travelled to New York Fashion Week where HLSK captured international attention, securing partnerships with celebrated retailers including Anthropologie, Opening Ceremony and Nordstrom. At the time, the business was still operating from her parents' garage in Melbourne.

HLSK is formed from the first and middle names of founder Hannah Louise and her father, Shane Kyle.

That momentum led to the opening of HLSK's permanent Melbourne workshop in 2015, where Shane joined the business as Head Master Jeweller. Today, father and daughter continue to work side by side with an incredible team, combining over fifty years of bench expertise with a distinctly modern design perspective.

Hannah's distinctive design language has earned recognition both in Australia and abroad. Her work has appeared in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, Forbes and ELLE, and has been worn by women including Reese Witherspoon, Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

In 2022, Hannah was honoured as part of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, with her work featured in the official Platinum Jubilee publication. Most recently, Hannah was awarded Australian Jewellery Designer of the Year in both 2024 and 2025, recognising her commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and enduring design.
